World Cancer Day - February 4th

4th February 2015

World Cancer Day takes place every year on 4th February, uniting the world under a single theme to highlight the ongoing fight against cancer. World Cancer Day aims to reduce the number of preventable deaths each year by raising cancer awareness amongst the general public and pressing governments to take action against the disease.

Cancer – Not beyond us, World Cancer Day 2015 will take a positive and proactive approach to the fight against cancer, highlighting that solutions do exist across the continuum of cancer care, and that they are within our reach.

Cancer - Not beyond us!

There is much that can be done at an individual, community and governmental level, to harness and mobilise these solutions and catalyse positive change.

There are four themes:

Quality Of Life

Treatment For All

Early Detection

Healthy Life Choices

The campaign will explore how we can implement what we already know in the areas of prevention, early detection, treatment and care, and in turn, open up to the exciting prospect that we can impact the global cancer burden – for the better.
