Friends of Hospice is supported by four full-time employees, one part-time employee, a professional Board of Directors, and hundreds of volunteers.
Executive Director: Jennifer Mahoney joined the Friends of Hospice team in May 2019, and brings significant experience in many areas including marketing and operations. Jennifer worked in the not-for-profit sector for three years as an Executive Director before joining us and possesses more than 15 years of management experience. She believes that we should all strive to live our best lives and is dedicated to ensuring that both patients and their families are given the opportunity to do so.
Programme Manager: Reilly Smith, MPS, ATR, joined in March 2017, and is primarily focused on the Day Hospice Adult Day care and coordination of events. Reilly is a Certified Art Therapist with a focus on bereavement and trauma. She provides Art Therapy services to Day Hospice, resident patients and bereavement groups at Agape House.
Marketing, Programme & Volunteer Coordinator: Angela Young joined Friends of Hospice in October 2018 and is responsible for the successful running of our events, and managing our wonderful group of volunteers, who donate their time in various capacities. Angela has many years’ experience in event planning and promotion and her energy and positivity are evident in our reinvigorated social media presence.
Chef: Marcie Scraders joined in November 2016. She is a professional chef, having worked in many restaurants across Bermuda, after receiving her training in her home country Jamaica.
Chef Support: Beverly Allen joined in 2016 and works on a part-time basis as our weekend chef. She shares Marcia’s passion for food and has also worked as a professional chef in restaurants across Bermuda.
